Beautiful Vintage 1937 RCA 87T Tube Radio-Works in Kanata, Ontario for sale

For sale is a restored and working wooden 1937 radio with RCA's distinctive 'Sunburst' Art Deco dial and green 'magic eye' (see pictures). As the dial hands are turned to select a station, the triangular shadow on the 'magic eye' tube opens and closes to allow the user to tune more precisely. The pointer hands move around the dial like a clock.
This 80 year old radio has 3 frequency ranges—Broadcast (AM) as well as two shortwave bands. A connecting wire & jack has also been added at the back which allows you to use your MP3 player or another audio device to hear your music playlists through the set's mellow tube amplification system and speaker. As you see from the images, RCA also provided an interface on the rear chassis to connect a separate record player.
The finish on the radio cabinet is excellent, except for an age-related blemish which cannot be seen from the front; the case is 18" long, 8.5" deep and 11" high.
The 87T would be an excellent period addition to any room, could be used for design 'staging' or just be fun to listen to for those who prefer analogue rather than digital sound.
